Our most important job when photographing a wedding is to capture what is important and meaningful to the bride and groom. But how do we get the right photographs? And how do we know what and who is important to the bride and groom?
When we photograph your wedding we get together a few times before your actual wedding. Over a cup of coffee we are able to take the time to get to know you, hear your story and learn what is important to you and who is important to you.
Often through the chaos of planning a wedding, thinking about who you want photographed can be forgotten. I think it is so sad to miss the opportunity on such a special day. That’s why we have made it a priority to find these things out so that you walk away with the most personal reflection of your wedding day. We are here to tell your story!
Mia’s grandfather was ill around the time she was getting married, so ill that he was only able to attend their wedding ceremony in the church. He was someone who was important to Mia and her family. During the time we spent together in the lead up to their wedding Mia and Anders were able to share with us his importance to them. Here is a photo of him in the church looking at Mia and Anders joining their lives together. This is one of the last photographs taken of him before he passed away only weeks after the wedding. Thinking about this gives me goosebumps. What an honour!
So how do we get the ‘right’ photographs? It’s really simple. We take the time to ask.
If you’re getting married, have a chat with us about how we can tell your story. You can email us here or call us on 22 44 55 55.
If you think this would be helpful to someone you know why not share it with them? Or share it on Facebook.
We hope your wedding photographs are special to you and tell your unique story.
